2023 Ride+Stride raised £37,253.00 - an increase of 7.5% on 2022! This has been shared as always between churches and chapels nominated by sponsored participants, and the LeicesterShire Historic Churches Trust. The Trust’s share, added to other funds, means that it has £30,000 available for grants in 2024 – its Sixtieth Anniversary year.
We could not possibly have done this without the help of all our local organisers who register their church/chapel for Ride+Stride, open it on the day, and encourage people to take part and raise sponsorship.

We raise funds and provide grants for churches and chapels every year. Our grants help these beautiful buildings to remain in good condition and to be active centres of community life and landmarks of the wonderful architectural heritage of our villages, towns, city and county.
The LeicesterShire Historic Chuches Trust helps Christian places of worship of all denominations with repair and improvement costs. All projects must demonstrate a real need and a well thought-out approach backed up by professional advice.

Ride+Stride is a sponsored event on the Second Saturday in September every year (that’s Saturday 10th September in 2022) and is the single largest source of income for LHCT. It’s also a church open day and it’s a great day for getting out and about in Leicester and Leicestershire.
